Visiting an IDOR Office
IDOR staff can assist LEP individuals in person with the help of an in-house interpreter or professional interpreter service. When using a professional interpreter service, IDOR staff will coordinate three-way calls with IDOR staff, the taxpayer, and an interpreter.
Taxpayers are permitted to bring an interpreter to an IDOR office. In this instance, IDOR staff may use an in-house interpreter or professional interpreter service to ensure information is being conveyed clearly and accurately.
Calling IDOR
IDOR staff can assist LEP individuals with the help of an in-house interpreter or professional interpreter service when calling IDOR. When using a professional interpreter service, IDOR staff will coordinate three-way calls with IDOR staff, the taxpayer, and an interpreter.

Written Translation
IDOR can translate documents into languages other than English. Please note that requests for written translation may take two weeks or more to complete.

Other On-Site Language Interpretation Services
To request an interpreter for an IDOR event, employment interview with IDOR, or other related occurrence, please complete and submit Form IDR-969, Interpreter Request. Requests should be made at least four weeks before the services are needed.
